{"id":318,"date":"2023-05-01T09:19:21","date_gmt":"2023-05-01T07:19:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/silvajp.web.amu.edu.pl\/?page_id=318"},"modified":"2026-01-15T20:47:25","modified_gmt":"2026-01-15T19:47:25","slug":"about-silva-iaponicarum","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/silvajp.web.amu.edu.pl\/index.php\/about-silva-iaponicarum\/","title":{"rendered":"About Silva Iaponicarum"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"welcome\">WELCOME!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Welcome to <em>Silva Iaponicarum<\/em> \u65e5\u6797, a Japanese studies biannual devoted to the broadly comprehended field of Japanology in humanities and social studies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Silva Iaponicarum<\/em>&nbsp;was founded in 2004 at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Pozna\u0144, Poland, and has since been published as a joint venture of Polish centres of Japanese studies in Pozna\u0144, Cracow, Warsaw and Toru\u0144.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Currently,&nbsp;<em>Silva<\/em>&nbsp;is released according to the Spring : Autumn biannual schedule. &nbsp;The now international Editorial Board includes representatives of Japanology centres inPozna\u0144, Cracow, Toru\u0144, Sapporo and Durham.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Double-blinded peer-reviewed <strong>research papers <\/strong>(<strong>academic papers<\/strong>) introducing original research in Japanese studies constitute the core of our biannual. The <em>Silva<\/em> fascicles also involve <strong>reviews <\/strong>of the newest Japan-related publications, English <strong>translations <\/strong>of Japanese (and Japonic) texts, and Japanologist <strong>miscellanea<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Academic papers (research papers) are the only genre of texts published in&nbsp;<em>Silva&nbsp;<\/em>subjected to peer review. Acceptance of contributions in other sections of&nbsp;<em>Silva&nbsp;<\/em>depends on the Editorial Board&#8217;s discretion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You are cordially invited to contribute your texts and ideas to any of the above. Your creativity and out-of-the-box thinking will be much appreciated. Your academic degree, length of research experience or institutional background make no difference to us. Yes, Ph. D. candidates, graduate students, independent researchers, your proposals, too, will be most welcome \ud83d\ude0a.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We accept contributions in English and Japanese. We welcome both individual papers and proposals for thematic issues. Also, feel free to check what\u2019s new at our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/silvaiaponicarum\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Facebook fanpage<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u4f55\u5352\u3088\u308d\u3057\u304f\u304a\u9858\u3044\u3044\u305f\u3057\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Silva Iaponicarum<\/em> Editorial Board<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">TARGET READERSHIP<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The content published in Silva is targeted primarily at specialists in Japanese studies and other representatives of academia, including graduate and undergraduate students, whose research interests are Japan-oriented or Japan-related.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">AIMS AND SCOPE<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The purpose of the journal is to provide a Poland-based venue for sharing the outcomes of high-quality and up-to-date research in any field of Japanology in the area of humanities and social studies, in particular, although not limited to, linguistics, literature, cultural, social and political studies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The scope of the journal is worldwide, accepting original contributions from any academic center regardless of where it is based. One key area of the Silva Iaponicarum activity is fostering the dissemination of research results by young researchers, for which reason submissions from promising M.A. and Ph.D. students are actively encouraged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">OPEN ACCESS STATEMENT<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Silva Iaponicarum&nbsp;<\/em>is an Open Access journal. It operates under the terms of the Creative Commons CC-BY license.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This type of license \u201cenables reusers to distribute, remix, adapt, and build upon the material in any medium or format, so long as attribution is given to the creator. The license allows for commercial use\u201d.
